Shah Batteries

If you are walking through Sunder Plaza Market on the main road, you will probably see our sign. We are at Shop No. 1 and 2 in the Gh-10 section of Sunder Vihar. It’s a very busy market with a lot of people coming and going for all sorts of things. We deal with batteries, which means our shop is usually full of heavy black boxes and the smell of lead and plastic. It is not the cleanest work in the world, but it is what we know. We have two shops right next to each other, which gives us just enough room to store everything without it falling over. The main road outside is always humming with traffic, which brings in a fair amount of people who are having trouble with their vehicles. We spend most of our time out on the sidewalk or just inside the door, talking to customers and checking their gear. It’s a lot of lifting and moving things around, so we don't really need a gym. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, making it pretty warm, but we just sit by the fan and keep working. We have been in Sunder Plaza for a long time, and we know most of the guys running the other stalls. It’s a good community to be part of, even if it gets a bit chaotic during the festival seasons.
