Maharaja Trading Company

Working at Maharaja Trading Company means dealing with a lot of noise from the trucks passing by on Mathura Road. We are located at No. 14/5, right near the Mile Stone, so it is a very industrial kind of place. The air is always a bit thick with exhaust and dust from the highway, which makes it hard to keep the office windows clean. Inside the building, we handle various trading goods and the paperwork is piled up on several old wooden desks. I usually have tea around eleven o'clock with the delivery drivers who are waiting for their loads to be checked. We talk about the traffic and how long it takes to get down to the city from this part of the road. The building itself is older and the paint is peeling in the corners of the ceiling, but it serves its purpose for our trading business. It gets very hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the warehouse, and we have to keep the big doors open to let some air circulate through the space. We don't have any big signs or advertisements outside because most people finding us are already looking for this specific Mile Stone. It is just a regular place where we get the work done without much fuss. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the cars go by, while other days are a complete mess of phone calls.
