Maharaja Agarsen Hospital

Located over in West Punjabi Bagh on Road No-35, this hospital is a pretty active place. We have a lot of different departments spread out across the building. Every morning, the shift change happens and you see a whole new group of people coming in to take over. It’s a routine that hasn't changed much over the years. Maharaja Agarsen Hospital is a big part of this West side area, and many people from the neighborhood walk here. The hallways are wide but they get narrow when there are carts or beds being moved around. We have a lot of desks where people sign in, and sometimes the paperwork piles up a bit. The lighting is bright and stays on all night because the doors never really close. We see all kinds of situations, from simple checkups to more serious things. The staff is used to the pace, even when it gets stressful in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon. There’s a small area where you can get something to drink, and people often congregate there. The windows in the upper floors look out over the Punjabi Bagh West rooftops. It’s a lot of grey concrete and bricks, but it feels like home to those of us who spend twelve hours a day here. We just focus on the patients and making sure the daily list of chores gets finished before we leave.
