Mahajan Mechanicals

Our workshop is split between W 1 and W 113 in the Mayapuri Industrial Area Phase II. If you have been to Mayapuri, you know it is a place full of grease and heavy metal sounds. We have been operating out of these two units for quite some time now. One side is where we keep the bigger machines and the other is mostly for storage and smaller assembly work. The floors are stained with oil and there is always a layer of iron filings near the lathes. It is a noisy environment with the sound of grinding and welding going on from morning until late evening. The workers usually have grease under their fingernails and we take our lunch breaks sitting on wooden crates outside when the weather allows it. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby for people to wait in. If you come by, you just walk in and find someone who isn't currently busy with a machine. Things get a bit chaotic when we have several big orders at once but we usually find a way to get them through the door. Moving stuff between the two units can be a pain when the narrow roads are blocked by trucks. It is just basic mechanical work done by people who have been doing it their whole lives. We don't use fancy software for everything, mostly just pens and notebooks to track the jobs.
