We’ve been here at Kirti Nagar W H S for quite a while now. If you walk into our yard at 28856, you’ll mostly see stacks of wood and probably a lot of sawdust in the air. That’s just how it is around here. My father started this because he knew a thing or two about timber, and now we just keep it going. It’s not a fancy place, mostly just us moving planks around and talking to people who need stuff for their homes or shops. Some days it’s really loud with the saws running, and other days it’s just quiet paperwork. We get people coming in from all over Delhi because this area is known for wood, but we’re just one small part of that big market. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years, so they know which piece of wood is good for what. We don't really have a big office or anything. Just a desk, some chairs, and plenty of tea. Sometimes the traffic outside gets stuck for hours, which makes it hard for the trucks to get in or out, but we manage. If you’re looking for us, look for the big gate and the smell of fresh cut pine. It’s a bit messy, but it’s how we work every day. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly just out there in the yard checking the stock and helping people load their trucks. It's dusty work but it's what we know.
