Khanna Hospital

Khanna Hospital is located over at C-2/396 in Janak Puri, Delhi. It’s been sitting on this corner for quite a while now. We call it a hospital, but it’s a modest building that fits right into the Janakpurin neighborhood. We have a few beds for people who need to stay over for a day or two. It’s not like those giant glass buildings you see in the city center. This is a local place for local people. The hallways are a bit narrow and the paint is an older shade of white. We have a small staff of nurses and a couple of doctors who have been here for years. We handle emergencies when they come through the door and do our best with what we have. It’s a busy spot because Delhi is always moving. Sometimes the waiting room gets full and people have to stand, which we don't like, but we try to see everyone as fast as possible. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. We just have our sign out front and a phone that rings a lot. It is a bit old-fashioned here. We write things down on charts and keep everything in cabinets. It’s worked for us this long, and the people around Janak Puri seem to appreciate having us nearby when they get sick or hurt. We've stayed through many changes in the neighborhood and plan to stay longer.
