I R Lift Engineers & Sons is a family-run thing located at Plot No.30/4 in Matliyala. We are in the Uttam Nagar area, and you can usually find us by looking for the Tops Achaar Factory nearby. The smell of pickles is pretty strong some days, which is just part of working here. We handle everything to do with lifts and elevators. My sons and I spend most of our time out on calls, fixing broken elevators or installing new ones in residential buildings. When we are at the shop, we are usually organizing our spare parts or repairing motors. It is a hands-on job and we often come home with grease on our clothes. We have been doing this for a long time and have learned a lot along the way. We don't have a fancy office or a big website. People in Uttam Nagar know us because we have worked on the lifts in their buildings or their neighbors’ places. It is about keeping things moving up and down without any trouble. We just focus on doing the work correctly and getting home to our families. It is a simple life, but there is always someone with a lift that is not working right, so we stay pretty busy throughout the week. We keep the toolkits in the van ready to go at a moment's notice.
