G. R. Mechanical Works (P) Ltd. is tucked away at C-1 in the National Market area of Peera Garhi. It’s a busy corner of the city, and our shop is usually buzzing with the sound of tools and engines. Being in a market like Peera Garhi means there is never a dull moment. We have been at C-1 for quite a while now, and everyone around here knows where to find us. The shop floor is covered in the usual signs of mechanical work, like oil spots and metal shavings. We have a few benches where we do the repairs and assembly. It isn't a large space, so we have to stay organized or we’d never find anything. The light comes in through the front door and a few small windows high up. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decorations because the work speaks for itself. People drop by with broken parts, and we take a look and see what we can do. It’s hands-on work from the minute we open until we pull the shutters down at night. We have a small desk where the paperwork gets handled, but most of our time is spent standing up or leaning over a machine. The National Market has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of that daily flow. We’ve got our regular customers who stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question.
