Durgeshchand

Durgeshchand is located at R-Z-A-17 in Nihal Vihar, New Delhi-41. It’s a dusty part of the city, especially when the wind picks up. The building we are in has seen better days, but it’s solid. We’ve got a couple of rooms that we use for everything. One room is mostly for storage, and the other is where we sit and work. There’s a small window that looks out onto the street, so we can see everyone passing by. We know the milkman and the newspaper guy by name. It’s that kind of neighborhood. Inside, we have some old metal desks and a calendar on the wall that we use to mark off the days. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or a fancy setup. Just a couple of computers that are a bit slow but get the job done. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day. Someone usually goes out to get a fresh batch from the corner stall every few hours. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate talk. We're just here to work. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the door, so we have to put a towel down. It’s not perfect, but it’s where we are. We just keep doing our thing at R-Z-A-17, day after day, without making much of a fuss about it. We’re just regular folks doing what needs to be done to get by.
