Dua Insurance Co is over at Shop No 61 in the Central Market of Dakshinpuri. Being in the middle of a market means there is never a quiet moment. You have the vegetable sellers shouting nearby and the constant flow of people looking for bargains. Our shop is quite small, just enough for a couple of desks and a cabinet for all the insurance forms. We don't have a big sign or anything too flashy, just the name on the door so people know they have the right place. Most of our day is spent filling out renewals or explaining different papers to people who drop in while they are doing their grocery shopping. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front of the shop directly, but we have a small fan that helps a little. We have been in Dakshinpuri for a long time, so we know most of the shopkeepers on this row. It is a very down-to-earth place to work. We don't use any fancy talk or complicated systems. We just use a lot of pens and paper and keep track of everything in our big ledger. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to sit in the shade for a minute and chat about the news. It is a community-based business where we just focus on getting the daily tasks finished before the market closes up for the night.
