Design Lounge

Our place, Design Lounge, is situated at 57/42 in West Punjabi Bagh. If you know where the McDonalds is, we are just near that, which makes it very easy to explain to delivery drivers. The area is always buzzing with people and cars, so it’s never quiet around here. Inside, it’s a bit of a different story. We try to keep things calm, though with the phones ringing and people coming in, it gets quite energetic. We have a few sofas that are actually quite comfortable, which is why we call it a lounge, I guess. It’s not a stiff environment at all. We wear what we want and talk like regular people. Sometimes we have music playing in the background, but usually, it's just the sound of the air conditioner humming away. The shopfront has some big windows, so we get to see everyone walking past on their way to lunch. We’ve been at this Punjabi Bagh location for a while and have seen the shops around us change many times. We stay pretty busy with the daily routine of checking orders and talking to suppliers. It’s a lot of work, but we enjoy the neighborhood vibe. It feels good to be part of the local community here. No big corporate rules or scripts, just us doing our thing every day and making sure things are moving along properly. We just try to keep it simple and get through the work without making things harder than they have to be.
