Dayal Cctv & Time Attendance System runs out of a spot at Rz-A/160 in Uttam Nagar, right near Nand Ram Park. The shop is usually filled with boxes of cameras, rolls of yellow and black wire, and various mounting brackets piled up on the shelves. It is a busy area, so there is always a lot of dust and noise coming in from the street. Most of our day is spent either testing out lens angles on the monitors or showing people how to log their fingerprints into the attendance machines. The machines make a little beeping sound every time they work, which you get used to after an hour. We have a couple of ladders leaning against the back wall for when we have to go out and install things at different sites. The desk in the front is where we handle the billing and talk to anyone who wanders in looking for a spare power adapter or a new recorder. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan stays on high speed most of the time. We aren't trying to be a fancy showroom. Everything here is about making sure the sensors pick up movement and the logs show the right time. We just keep things moving and make sure the hardware is ready to go out to the next job. It is simple work but it keeps us on our feet all through the week.
