We are based in Sarita Vihar, specifically at Flat 186 in Pocket A. It’s a bit of a climb since it’s on the third floor, but you get used to it after a week or two. Being in a residential area like this means it’s mostly quiet, except when the vegetable sellers come by with their carts in the afternoon or when the neighbors are loud. Cleverbits.Io Technologies India Private is really just a few of us sitting in this flat with our computers. We started this because we knew a thing or two about tech and wanted to do our own thing without a boss breathing down our necks in some fancy glass building. The office isn't much to look at, just some desks, chairs that probably need replacing, and too many tangled cables on the floor. We spend most of our time staring at screens and drinking tea from the stall around the corner. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, but that’s just how things go here. We don’t have a big reception desk or a sign out front, so most people miss us the first time they visit. It feels more like a home than an office most days. We just focus on the work that comes in and try to get it done right so we can go home. There’s no big philosophy here, just people making a living in south Delhi. It gets hot in the summer, but the AC works okay.
