City Hospital

Our City Hospital is situated at B-1/1 N E A Pusha Road. The N E A area is quite a spot, and being on Pusha Road means there’s never a dull moment. You can hear the cars honking outside most of the afternoon, but inside we try to keep things as calm as we can. The building is solid, though the elevator sometimes makes a funny noise when it goes to the top floor. We spend a lot of our time answering the phones and trying to keep the patient records organized in those big metal cabinets. It’s a lot of manual work, and our pens always seem to go missing just when we need them. The rooms are basic, just the beds and the necessary monitors, nothing too flashy. We have a small staff room where we eat our lunch, usually whatever we brought from home. The tea lady comes by twice a day, and that’s usually the highlight of our afternoon. People from all over the neighborhood stop in, and we recognize a lot of the faces now. It’s not like a big corporate office; it feels more like a local fixture. We deal with leaky pipes and slow computers just like anyone else. Sometimes we stay late to finish up the billing or to help a new patient get settled in. It's just what we do every day.
