Bansals The Provison Store

The store is at D-119 in Karampura, right where everyone walks by on their way home. It’s a typical provision store with a bit of everything on the shelves. We open up early because that’s when people need their milk and bread. I spend a lot of time just chatting with the neighbors who have been coming to Bansals The Provison Store for years. I’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in to buy stuff for their own homes. The shelves are always a bit crowded, and sometimes I have to climb a ladder to find that one specific thing someone wants. It’s not a supermarket; it’s just us. My wife helps out in the evenings when it gets really busy. We try to keep things fresh, but sometimes a delivery is late and we have to explain that to everyone. The floor gets a bit muddy when it rains, but a quick sweep usually fixes it. We don't have fancy checkout counters or anything. Just a simple desk and a calculator. It’s a lot of hours, and my back hurts by the end of the day, but I like being part of the community. People know they can come here and get what they need without any fuss. It’s just how we run things. We might run out of sugar on a Monday, but we always have it back by Tuesday. It is just a local shop.
