We are in a fairly quiet spot, which is nice for a clinic. Most of the day is spent in dark rooms because that is how ultrasound machines work best. It is a bit of a strange way to work, sitting in the shadows, but you get used to it. We have a small waiting area with some old magazines that nobody really reads anymore. The machine makes a humming sound that fills the room when it is turned on. We spend a lot of time wiping down the gel from the equipment and the exam tables. The floor is a light color and shows every bit of dirt, so we are always mopping. People come in for all sorts of scans, mostly looking a bit nervous until they see the screen. We don't have a lot of staff, so sometimes the phone rings for a while before someone can pick it up. It is a straightforward business. We show up, turn on the lights, and wait for the first person to arrive. The neighborhood around E Block is mostly residential, so it feels a bit more relaxed than the main market areas. We like it that way. It is just a regular office doing regular medical work for the local people here.
