Award Software Engineering

You’ll find us at D 3 in Bali Nagar, where we run Award Software Engineering. It’s not the kind of software company you see in movies with bean bags and ping pong tables. We’re in a regular building, and our office is mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of empty coffee mugs. We spend our days typing away, working on different programs and fixing bugs that pop up out of nowhere. Bali Nagar is a decent place to be, fairly central but not as crazy as some of the other markets. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighbors know us as the quiet guys who are always staring at screens. The lighting in here isn't great, but it works for us since we’re mostly looking at glowing monitors anyway. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a scripted greeting. If you call, you’ll probably just talk to one of the guys who is actually writing the code. It’s a bit informal, and we might be wearing old t-shirts most of the time. We aren't trying to be the next big thing; we just enjoy building stuff that works and solving the puzzles that come with engineering software. It can be frustrating when a piece of code doesn't work, but we just keep at it until it does. That’s pretty much the daily routine here. We usually head home around seven or eight if things are going okay.
