Amit Wadhwa

My name is Amit Wadhwa and I run things from my place at House Number 344 in Chand Nagar. If you know Tilak Nagar in New Delhi, you know it can get pretty crowded and loud during the day. This is where I’ve lived and worked for a good amount of time. It’s a busy neighborhood but that is just life in Delhi. I started doing this because I needed a way to stay busy and it just grew from there. The office is basically just a room set aside for work. It’s nothing special to look at, just a desk, a couple of chairs, and whatever papers are piling up that week. I don’t have a huge team or anything like that. It is mostly me making sure things get finished on time. The 110018 area is home to a lot of small shops and people just trying to make a living. I fit right in with that. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the traffic is a nightmare, but you just deal with it. I don’t spend much on advertising because word of mouth usually does the trick around here. People know the address and they know I’ll be there. It’s a practical way to live. I’m not trying to build some giant empire, just keeping the work steady and the bills paid. It is honest work and I enjoy being my own boss in this part of town. It takes a lot of patience to work in Delhi, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
