I run things out of Ag-1/56 in Vikas Puri. It’s basically my home base for all the work I do. Vikas Puri is a busy residential area, and being located here means I’m right in the middle of everything. It’s not a huge corporate office with a receptionist. Usually, if you come by, it’s just me or maybe a helper sitting at the desk. I handle a variety of things depending on what people need help with that week. The room is filled with books and old files that I haven't gotten around to organizing perfectly yet. It has a lived-in feel, which I think makes people feel more comfortable when they stop by for a chat. I’ve lived in New Delhi for a long time, so I know how things work around here. I don’t believe in making things more complicated than they need to be. If someone has a question, I just give them a straight answer. My neighbors know me, and I often end up helping people out with advice over a cup of tea. It’s a small operation, but it keeps me busy from morning until evening. Sometimes the doorbell rings when I’m in the middle of something, but that’s just how it goes when you work from a place like this. It’s honest work and it keeps me connected to the community. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
