Air Con Engineers

We've been over here at Wz-59 in Janakpuri Village for quite a while now. Most people know the spot near Fateh Nagar, right by the B-1 area near the District Center. It gets really hot in Delhi, so we stay pretty busy with the air conditioning units. People call us when their machines start making weird noises or just stop blowing cold air. It's usually a dusty filter or something with the gas. We spend most of our days climbing up ladders or messing with tools in the back. Sometimes the shop is a bit messy because there are parts everywhere, but that is just how it goes when you're busy fixing stuff. We don't really do anything fancy here. If an AC isn't working, we try to get it running again. Sometimes it’s an old window unit that’s seen better days, other times it’s a newer split system. We just stick to what we know. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on the rooftops, but it’s what we do. The neighbors know where to find us if their cooling goes out. We usually have a tea in the afternoon when things quiet down for a second. We started this because we knew how much people struggle when the heat waves hit in May and June. It’s not just about comfort; it's about being able to sleep at night. We’ve seen units that are twenty years old and some that are brand new. Both have their own sets of problems. It’s just us here.
