Down at Uttam Nagar Matiala Road A-258, you’ll find A K Soft. We are in a busy part of the city, and the noise from the road never really stops. We spend our time writing code and trying to make software that doesn't crash. It’s a small room with a few desks shoved together and a lot of empty water bottles around. We don't have a big corporate culture or anything like that. We just come in, put on our headphones, and start typing. Sometimes we spend three hours just trying to find a single mistake in the code, which can be pretty frustrating. But it’s the job we chose. The lighting isn't the best, and the carpet is a bit stained from where someone spilled tea a year ago, but it’s a comfortable enough place to work. We don't have a marketing department telling us what to say. We just do the work and hope it turns out okay for the people who use it. Most of us have been here since the start, so we know each other's habits pretty well. We aren't looking to change the world; we just want to make sure our programs work the way they are supposed to. It’s a simple life in Uttam Nagar, mostly just focused on the screens and the next deadline we have to meet. When we aren't working, we’re usually just talking about the latest tech or where to go for lunch.
