Our hospital is situated in Moti Nagar, specifically in the New Delhi-15 area. It is a pretty standard building on a street that sees a lot of action every single day. When you walk in, the first thing you see is the main desk where we handle all the registrations. It’s a bit cramped when it gets busy, especially in the rainy season when everyone is coming in at once. We’ve got a couple of floors and the stairs are usually faster than waiting for anything else. The floors are tiled and we try to keep them clean, though with so many people coming in from the street, it’s a constant job. There’s a small area where families sit while they wait. We don’t have any big flashy signs inside, just the usual directions to the different wards. The staff has been here for a long time and we all know how the place runs. It’s not a corporate chain, it’s just a local hospital for the people around Moti Nagar. You’ll hear the sounds of the city outside, horns honking and people shouting, but we’re used to it by now. The lighting is a bit bright and fluorescent but it helps us see what we are doing. We just focus on getting the paperwork done and making sure everyone is where they need to be. It’s a plain, honest place to work. We just keep things moving along as simply as possible.
