Swavalambi Junior College Of Education

Swavalambi Junior College Of Education is an old name here in Wardha. We’ve been around for a long time, and a lot of the teachers you see in the local primary schools probably did their training with us. The building has that classic look you find in this part of Maharashtra, with high ceilings and thick walls that stay a bit cooler in the summer. We are mainly focused on the D.El.Ed course and other teacher training programs. It’s a quiet life here most of the time. The students come from various parts of the district, and many of them stay in local hostels. We have a library that’s seen better days but still has all the books needed for the course. We don't have a big marketing department or any of that. We rely on our reputation in the town. People know where we are. Every year we see a new group of young people who want to become teachers, and we just try to get them through their practicals and exams. It’s a lot of manual record-keeping and checking attendance. We sit under the trees in the courtyard during the break to have our lunch. It’s a very grounded place. No bells and whistles, just a solid focus on training the next generation of educators for our schools in this region. We’ve been part of the Wardha landscape for decades and we just keep going.
