Kasturba Nursing College

Sevagram is a quiet place with a lot of history, and that is where you will find us. Our nursing college is a practical sort of place. There are no grand lobbies here, just functional rooms where students learn how to take care of patients. You will see a lot of young people in their white uniforms walking between the classrooms and the hospital areas. It’s a serious environment because nursing isn't an easy job. We spend a lot of time on the basics. The building itself is older, with wide corridors and high ceilings that help with the heat. We have a library that stays pretty full during the exam season. The faculty stays busy with lectures and clinical postings. It’s not a place for much leisure. Most students live nearby or in the hostels, so the campus feels lived-in. You’ll hear the sound of tea stalls nearby where everyone goes for a break. We don’t have much in the way of fancy gadgets, just the essential tools for medical training. People come here from all over because they want to work in healthcare. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. No one is trying to impress anyone; we are all just focused on the work at hand. That’s how life goes here in Sevagram at the college. We've got a small office where we keep the records and handle the admissions. It’s usually a bit crowded in the mornings when the shifts change and new batches start. Everyone just knows their place and gets on with it.
