Sri Lakshmi Transport

If you head out towards Laxmakkapally in the Kodakandla region, you’ll find our place. Sri Lakshmi Transport is located at house number 5-9 in Peddhabaithanda. It’s a bit out of the way for some people, but for us, it’s the perfect spot. We handle the transport needs for the local villages and all the nearby farms. It’s mostly about moving agricultural goods or construction materials. We don't have a giant fleet of brand-new trucks. Our vehicles are a bit older but they get the job done fine. We spend a lot of time doing maintenance ourselves because the good mechanics are far away. It’s a hands-on life. You’ll often find us with grease on our hands or dust on our clothes from the road. Ramannagudem is a quiet place for the most part, except when we’re loading up for a long trip. We don't have an office with air conditioning or anything like that. We just work from the porch or the front room of the house. It’s a very simple setup. We know the people around here and they know us. There’s no need for big signs or advertising when everyone in the village knows who has the trucks. Sometimes we have to deal with bad weather that washes out the dirt roads, which slows everything down. We just wait it out and start again the next day. It’s a steady way to make a living for our family.
