Started the shop at house number 6-59 in Doravarivempally quite some time ago. Kothagudam is where we are. It’s a small place but we keep busy with the bags. Mostly we work with leather. It’s tough work on the hands and the needles break sometimes. My wife helps out when the children are at school. We have different kinds of bags sitting on the shelves. People come by and ask for repairs too. It’s not a big factory or anything fancy. Just a room where we cut and stitch. The smell of leather is always there. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we have to wait. We don't have a big sign, just people know where we are in the village. It gets dusty here in the summer months. We try to keep things clean but it's hard. Every morning I open the door and sweep the front. Most of our tools are old but they work fine for what we do. We make bags for daily use, things that last. We aren't trying to be famous or anything. Just working here in Doravarivempally. It's a quiet life mostly. We see the same faces every day. If someone needs a strap fixed or a new bag for work, they come see us. That’s how it has been for years now. We just stay here and do the work as it comes in and keep going.
