Sage High School

Our place is located right on the Warangal Highway in Yeswantapur. If you are driving through Jangaon, you’ll see us at House No 3-22. It’s a busy spot because of the highway, so there is a lot of dust and the sound of horns blowing all day long. We have a simple building that we’ve used for years. It’s not a purpose-built campus like you see in the big cities, but it serves our purpose. The rooms are a decent size, though they can get a bit stuffy when the sun is hitting the roof in the summer months. We have some trees in the back that provide a little shade, but the playground is mostly just the open ground. The kids don't seem to mind much. Most of them come from the surrounding villages and they are used to the heat. We don't have any fancy signs or big advertisements. We just focus on the textbooks and making sure the students are prepared for their exams. The staff room is small and usually smells like tea and old paper. We spend a lot of time grading papers on the long wooden table there. It’s a practical setup for the families in this part of Jangaon. We don't try to be something we aren't. It’s just a school by the road where we spend our days teaching whoever comes through the door. Sometimes the mailman gets confused by the address but we usually flag him down. It's just a normal, everyday school life here.
