About Bhavani Pindi Girni – Food & Beverages in Warangal Rural
Most days at Bhavani Pindi Girni start early before the sun is even fully up. We get the machines ready and the dust starts to settle on everything pretty quickly. It’s just how it is with a flour mill. People from around Shayamapet and other parts of Geesugonda come by with their sacks of grain and we just get to work. It’s loud inside so we don’t talk much while the power is on. You can smell the fresh ground flour from down the road. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the bench until it comes back. It gives us a chance to see who is passing by on the main street in Warangal. We’ve been at this H. No location for a while now. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical workspace with a tin roof that gets really hot in the summer months. We keep a water pot in the corner for anyone who is thirsty. My hands are usually covered in white powder by noon. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till the evening. We don’t really have a big sign or anything, people just know where we are. The floor is always a bit slippery from the fine dust but we sweep it when we can. It’s a simple life here in the village area and we just take things one day at a time.
