Srinivasa Rice Corporation

We are located right near National Highway No.5 in Gajuwaka. Being close to the highway means there is always a lot of traffic and noise, but it makes it easy for the trucks to find us. Our shop is at Sh. No.2-77 on Ashok Nagar Road. We deal with rice all day long, so you can usually smell the grain as soon as you walk in. It’s a busy spot, and things can get a bit hectic when several deliveries arrive at the same time. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. People just stand around the bags and talk. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust, but that’s expected when you’re moving so much product. We have been here in Gajuwaka for a while and have seen the area change quite a bit around the highway. Despite the changes, we just keep doing what we do. We don’t use any complicated systems; we just write things down and make sure the bags are stacked correctly. Sometimes the humidity makes the work feel heavier, but we just get on with it. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and moving, but it keeps us active. We’re not a big corporation with a board of directors, even if the name sounds a bit formal. It’s just us working hard to keep the supply moving. You can usually find us here from morning until the sun goes down.
