Sri Vengamamba

Sri Vengamamba is tucked away in Gajuwaka. It is a place that many people in this part of town know because it is such a central hub for business. Our setup here is fairly simple and we don’t spend much time worrying about how things look on the outside. Most of the day is spent dealing with whatever comes through the door. The weather in Gajuwaka can get quite hot and humid, so we usually have the fans running full speed while we work. The space we have is filled with the things we need to get through the day. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a handful of us who know what needs to be done. You can hear the sounds of the street and the traffic from where we sit. It is not a quiet office by any means. We’ve been here for a while and have seen how much the area has grown. There are more shops and buildings now than there used to be. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We don’t use any complicated systems, just pen and paper and the occasional computer when it decides to work right. It’s a local operation, run by people who live nearby and understand the pace of life here.
