Sri Sivananda Swadesi Foods is located at 39-4-25 in Murali Nagar. We are right opposite Vinayaka Plaza, which is a good landmark if you are looking for us. This whole thing started because we wanted to make food the way people used to, with basic ingredients and no shortcuts. We call it swadesi because it is just local stuff. The shop is small and smells like spices and fried things most of the time. We do a lot of the work by hand, so you will often see us sitting in the back sorting through grains or packing bags. It is not a factory; it is just a small room where we prepare everything. Some days the humidity makes the floors a bit sticky, and we have to keep the fans going at full speed. People from the plaza across the street often pop over to see what we have made for the day. We don't have a big marketing strategy or a website. Most of our business comes from people just walking past and deciding to stop in. It is a simple way to live and work. We have been at this Murali Nagar spot for a few years now. The rent goes up every now and then, and the traffic gets worse, but we are still here doing the same things every day. It feels good to work with your hands and see people enjoy what you made. It's just a simple food shop.
