Pakoda Castle

Up here in Visakhapatnam, right on NH 5, you'll find Pakoda Castle. We are in the Isakathota area, specifically across from My Restaurant and right next to Kamath. It’s a simple spot. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. Most people just pull over when they are driving on the highway and want a quick bite. We make a lot of snacks and small meals. The name kind of tells you what we do, but we have other stuff on the menu too. The kitchen is small but we keep it moving. It gets really humid here being so close to the coast, so the fans are always on high. I spend most of my day near the counter or checking on the frying. We have some tables where people can sit, but a lot of people just take their food and go. The traffic on NH 5 never really stops, so there’s always noise from the trucks and cars. We’ve been here for a bit now and have seen the neighborhood grow. It’s a practical place for a meal. We don’t have fancy decorations or anything. Just some walls, some chairs, and the kitchen. We open up in the morning and stay until late. It's just hard work and making sure the food isn't cold when it gets to the table. That's about it for us. We just keep frying and serving snacks to whoever stops by.
