Sparkling Water

Our place, Sparkling Water, is down at 3-1-145 on Apparel Park Road in Kurmannapalem. Being in an area like the Apparel Park means there’s always something going on around us. We spend most of our hours inside the facility, keeping an eye on the water systems and the bottling line. It’s not the quietest job, but it’s what we do. The road outside can get pretty dusty with all the trucks moving in and out of the park, so we have to be extra careful about keeping our inside area clean. We usually start the machines early in the morning before it gets too hot. There’s a lot of routine involved, from checking the pressure gauges to making sure the crates are stacked properly. We don’t use any complicated systems, just regular equipment that needs a lot of looking after. Sometimes a pipe leaks or a belt slips, and then the whole day changes while we fix it. It’s just honest work. We know most of the drivers who come by to pick up loads, and we usually have a quick chat while they wait. It’s a practical sort of life here in Kurmannapalem. We don’t put on any acts; we just show up, do the work, and head home when the job is done for the day. There are days when the heat is tough, but we just get on with it like everyone else.
