Sahasra Foods

Sahasra Foods is based out of a small place at 37-6-15 in P N R Colony. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s much quieter than the commercial centers you find in the middle of the city. We started this because we wanted to do something for ourselves, and food seemed like the most natural thing to get into. We don't have a big storefront with neon lights or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just see us working inside, getting things weighed and packed. Because we are in a colony, we see the same neighbors every day walking their dogs or taking their kids to school. It makes the whole business feel more personal. We handle a variety of food items, and we try to keep things as simple as possible. There’s no complicated hierarchy here; we all just pitch in and do whatever needs to be done, whether it’s cleaning the floors or answering the phone. Sometimes the days get a bit repetitive, but there is a certain rhythm to it that I’ve grown to like. We don't make big promises or use fancy words to describe what we sell. We just put the stuff in the bags and make sure it’s what the customer asked for. It’s a small, honest operation, and we’re quite content keeping it that way while we serve the people around here.
