Rajeev Gandhi Vocational Junior College

Rajeev Gandhi Vocational Junior College is over in St Colony in Vizianagaram. It’s a simple building, nothing too big or flashy. We’ve been here for a while now, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. The focus here is on vocational courses, so you’ll often see students carrying tools or working on projects in the back rooms. It’s a bit of a messy place sometimes with all the practical work going on. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. The staff room is small and always has a few tea cups sitting on the table. We don't have a big fancy campus with lawns. It’s mostly just the main block and a small paved area where the students hang out during their lunch hour. Most of the kids come from the nearby colonies, so they walk or take a cycle. Vizianagaram gets quite humid, and the classrooms can get stuffy if we don't keep all the windows open. We have some computers in one of the rooms, but they are older models and sometimes they take forever to start up. We just make do with what we have. It’s a very straightforward place. There’s no big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a college in a colony where local students come to learn some skills so they can find work later.
