Chaitanya D.Ed College

We are located over in Bonangi, which is part of the Parawada Mandal area in Visakhapatnam. The college is mostly full of young adults who are training to become teachers themselves one day. It’s a bit different than a regular school because the students are older and more serious about their books. Most of them travel in from across Andhra Pradesh, so the place has a bit of a mix of people. We spend a lot of time in the office handling paperwork and making sure the schedules for the lectures are stuck up on the board. The building is fairly simple, with big classrooms and wide windows to let the breeze in. It gets quite hot in the summer, so the ceiling fans are always going full speed. You can hear the instructors talking about lesson plans and educational theories while the students take notes. Sometimes we have tea together in the break area and talk about the news or how the latest exams went. There’s always someone coming in to ask about admissions or checking their grades. It’s not a fancy place, just a functional college where people come to get their work done and prepare for their future jobs. We see a lot of faces come and go every year as they finish their training. It keeps us busy enough, and the local shops nearby know our students well. It is a quiet, steady kind of life here.
