Sandhya Marines Ltd. is located at Plot No. 62 and 67, right by Dr. No. 7-5-108/1. It’s a big space because we need it for the equipment. The air always smells a bit like salt and engine oil. We’ve been working in the marine sector for quite some time. It’s a tough business. Things break, the weather doesn't cooperate, and there’s always something that needs fixing. We have a crew that knows their way around boats and supplies. The office is usually cluttered with blueprints and spare parts. We aren't really the type to wear suits. Most of the time, we’re in boots and work shirts. It’s a lot of physical labor. We deal with a lot of different people from the harbor. Some days the phones don't stop ringing. We handle the logistical side of things too. It's not always pretty, and the yard gets messy when a big shipment comes in. We just focus on getting the gear ready for the next trip out. My father started this years ago, and we just kept it going. We know most of the regulars around here. It’s a steady rhythm of work. You learn to respect the water and the people who work on it. We're just here doing our part to keep things moving day after day. The harbor is a busy place and we just fit right into the middle of it.
