We've been here at D-190 in Autonagar for quite a while now. It’s mostly just us working with granite every day. The yard gets pretty dusty, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the stone. People come by looking for slabs for their kitchens or just some basic floor work. We don't do anything too fancy, just cut and move the stone as it comes in. The crew here knows the routine well. Sometimes the lorries are late, and we just sit around the gate waiting for the delivery. It’s honest work, really. Granite is heavy stuff, and it takes a lot of effort to get it right. My father used to say that stone has its own mind, and I guess he was right. We just try to keep things moving. Most folks in the Ida area know where to find us. We don’t spend much on signs or anything like that. If you need something, you just walk in and ask. We have a few machines that have seen better days but they still get the job done. It’s not a quiet place, between the cutting saws and the trucks, but that’s how it goes in an industrial area. We keep some stock piled up near the back wall. It's nothing special to look at until it's finished and polished up. We just focus on getting the slabs out the door and ready for use.
