Raju Tiles

Raju Tiles is located at 574 in Cheepurupalli, over in the Anakapalle area. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. It’s a local spot where people from the nearby villages and the town come when they are building something new. We have a lot of different tiles stacked up, and sometimes it feels like we’re running out of room. The yard gets pretty dusty, especially when the wind picks up, so we’re always sweeping. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see one of us sitting at the small desk near the entrance. We don't have a computer system for everything; we still do a lot of things by hand in our notebooks. It’s simpler that way for us. People come in and spend a long time looking at colors and tapping on the tiles to see if they’re strong. We don't mind, because choosing the right look for a house is important. Anakapalle can get very hot, so we usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. When a big truck comes in to deliver new stock, it’s all hands on deck to get it unloaded. It's hard work, but it's what we do. We don't have a fancy website or anything. If you want to see what we have, you just have to stop by the shop at 574 and take a look for yourself. Most of our customers are just neighbors and local builders who know we've been around for years.
