J.W Marriott Hotel

The hotel is situated over at Ac-8 in Nausenabaugh, which is part of the Gandhigram area in Visakhapatnam. Being down here by the coast means we get that salty air all the time. Working here isn't exactly like what you see in the movies. It’s a lot of running around and making sure the floors are clean and the rooms are ready for whoever is coming in next. The 530005 area is a bit of a hub for people traveling through. We have a lot of local staff who have lived in Vizag their whole lives. We know which roads get flooded when it rains too hard and where to get the best snacks nearby. It’s a big building, but inside it feels more like a small community once you get to know the people working in the kitchen or the laundry. We don't really do the big corporate talk here in the breakroom. It’s mostly just chatting about our families or what happened on the cricket match last night. Dealing with guests keeps us on our toes, but we just take it as it comes. Some days are much busier than others, especially during wedding season when the whole place feels like it’s buzzing. We just try to keep things organized and make sure everyone gets what they need without too much fuss. It is a solid job in a nice part of town, even if it gets a bit stressful.
