Jona & Co Pro Sound & Lighting

Jona & Co Pro Sound & Lighting is based right on Beach Road in Vizag. If you go behind the Novotel Hotel, you will find our door, number 2-36-7. It’s a great spot because we get the sea breeze, but the salt air is actually pretty tough on our lights and sound boards. We spend a lot of time cleaning the gear to keep it from rusting. We’ve been handling audio and lighting for quite a few years now. It’s not all pretty lights and loud music; there is a lot of heavy lifting and fixing broken plugs. We are just a small crew that knows our way around a soundboard. When the sun goes down on the beach and we turn the lights on, it looks okay. We don't have a corporate office with a receptionist. Most times, we are out at a site or in the back room soldering wires. We talk like normal people because that’s who we are. We grew up around here and know the local venues well. Sometimes we make mistakes, maybe a bulb flickers or a mic echoes, but we fix it fast. We don't talk about "synergy" or "solutions," we just talk about where the speakers need to go. It’s a decent living and we get to see a lot of different celebrations across Visakhapatnam.
