Our setup for Jayalakshmi Sea Foods is a bit different because we’re actually based in Dhanishta Apartments. It’s a flat, specifically number six, over in the Peda Waltair area of Vizag. It’s more of an administrative spot than a big factory. You walk into the apartment building, and instead of a living room, we’ve got desks, computers, and stacks of files. It’s a bit cramped, honestly, with all the paperwork that comes with the seafood trade. Being in a residential building means it’s relatively quiet, which is nice when you’re trying to coordinate shipping schedules or talk to suppliers on the phone. We get a nice breeze from the ocean sometimes because we aren't that far from the coast. The kitchen in the flat is where we make the tea and coffee, and there's usually someone sitting there having a break. We don't have a big sign out front, just the name on the door. People sometimes get confused coming to an apartment for a seafood company, but this is where the planning happens. Most of the staff has been with us for years, so it feels more like a family house than a corporate office. It’s simple, practical, and it works for us. We just handle the business side of things from here while the real heavy lifting happens at the docks. It’s a steady routine of calls and emails that keeps everything moving for the rest of the team.
