Chalapathi Rao Kirana & General Store is situated at 19-4-4/1 in the Aruna Complex in Gajuwaka, Visakhapatnam. Being in a complex like Aruna means we are surrounded by other shops and lots of people going about their business. Gajuwaka is a bustling part of Vizag, and we’ve been a part of it for a good while now. Our store is a typical kirana shop where you can get your monthly groceries and daily necessities. We have everything from spices and oils to snacks and toiletries. The humidity here in Visakhapatnam can be something else, so we have to be careful about how we store everything to keep it fresh. It’s just a small team of us here, and we spend most of our time chatting with customers while we weigh out their orders or bag their items. We don't have any fancy systems; it's all very traditional and straightforward. People appreciate being able to just stop by and pick up a few things on their way home. We try to keep our prices fair and our shelves as full as we can manage. It’s a lot of repetitive work, like counting stock and cleaning, but it’s satisfying to see the shop busy. We are just a local spot for local people, and we take things one day at a time here in the complex. It gets loud and busy, but we wouldn't have it any other way.
