Thoorpu Kanumula Tribal Farming Andmarketing Producer Company Limited

We are based up in the Araku Valley, right near the MRO Office. Our door number is 1-402. It is a beautiful part of the world to work in. We are a producer company focused on tribal farming and getting those products to the market. The hills around here are where most of the work happens. We bring the harvest down to our place in the valley to organize everything. It is a group effort involving many of the local tribal families. We aren't looking to be some giant company. We just want to make sure the farming we do in these hills is sustainable and that we can actually sell what we grow. Marketing is part of our name, but really it is just us talking to buyers and trying to get a decent price for the effort put in. It’s a lot of back and forth. The air is fresh up here, but the work is still tough. We spend a lot of time on the roads between the different farms and our office near the MRO. It is a simple life, focused on the land and the people who live on it. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. We mostly rely on what we’ve learned over the years about these specific crops. It’s just us, doing our best in the valley. Some days are long, but seeing the crops go out makes it worth it.
