Up on the first floor of the SLV Abode building in Gayathrinagar, that’s where you’ll find us. PVR Street is where most of our daily life happens. It’s a bit of a climb up those stairs when you’re carrying files or samples. Red sandal and farming stuff takes up most of our headspace. We talk to growers and figure out what’s happening in the fields around the area. It’s a lot of sitting around tables and looking at maps or lists of crops. Sometimes the office gets a bit dusty because of the wind coming through the windows. We aren't trying to be some big corporate thing. We’re just a group of people working together on the agro side of things. Most of the folks who come by are local farmers or people interested in what’s growing in the district. We drink a lot of tea while we argue about the best ways to handle the harvests. The first floor gets quite hot in the summer months, but we have a fan that helps a little. We spend time making sure the paperwork for the trees is all in order because that’s a big part of the job. It’s slow work sometimes, and frustrating, but it’s what we do. No one here wears a suit, just normal clothes because we’re often heading out to the farms ourselves later in the day.
