Shree Aaditya Ricemill

You’ll find Shree Aaditya Ricemill down in Appayanaikenpatti Village. We are located right near the Venkateshwara Duplex Boards factory, which is usually the easiest way to tell people where to turn off. It’s out in the Virudhunagar district, so it gets quite hot during the middle of the day. The mill is a sturdy old building, and it’s seen a lot of seasons. We mostly deal with the local crop that comes in from the fields nearby. There’s always a bit of a breeze coming across the open land, but inside the mill, it stays busy and noisy. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s mostly just the machinery and the bags of rice stacked up high. Most of the guys working here are from the village, so we all know each other’s families. It makes the day go by a bit faster when you can joke around. We keep a regular schedule, starting early before the sun gets too high. By the afternoon, the floor is usually covered in a fine layer of dust, and we’re all ready for a break. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit for a tour, but it gets the job done. We just keep our heads down and focus on the grain. It’s what everyone around here does.
