It’s a quiet and simple spot to run a business like Manaivi Masala Foods Private Limited. We focus on making the basic food items that everyone uses in their daily meals. The village life suits us well because we are close to where some of the raw ingredients actually come from. We don't have a corporate office or anything like that. It is just a functional space where we process our masalas. The work is steady but it is quite hard on the body. We have to watch the weather closely because the humidity can ruin the spices if we aren't careful. Most of the people living around here have grown up with these smells. We aren't looking to expand into a giant corporation. We just want to keep the quality good enough for the local families who buy from us. Some days we have issues with the transport trucks coming into the village, especially when it rains and the roads get a bit muddy. But we always find a way to get the orders out to our customers. It is a small-scale operation and we honestly like it that way. We know our customers and they know where to find us. There is no big secret to what we do here.
