It is a hardworking environment where there is always something being moved or loaded. Working with bricks is a physical job that keeps you on your feet from morning until night. The red dust from the bricks tends to get on everything, but we do not mind it much. This is a local business and we are not part of any big corporate chain. Most of us are from around this part of Tamil Nadu. We have been at this address in the 626106 area for a long time. The saw mill next door is usually running, so there is a constant hum of activity around us. We spend our time stacking bricks and talking to the people who come in for their building projects. It is a simple operation and we do not go in for any corporate fluff. We do not have a fancy waiting room. You just come to the yard to see the stock. Sometimes the ground gets muddy when it rains, and we have to help the trucks get in and out. We just try to do a decent job every day. It has been our way of life for years.
