Agaram Bricks

Agaram Bricks is located at 33, Maharajapuram, which is a quiet enough part of Srivilliputhur. We’ve been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. The work is mostly outdoors, dealing with the clay and the kilns. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean for long. We’ve got stacks of bricks everywhere you look, and the ground is always a bit uneven. That’s just the nature of a brickyard. People in Maharajapuram know where we are, and we often see the same neighbors passing by every morning. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. If you want to see our bricks, you just walk into the yard and look at the stacks. We’re just folks who do the work ourselves. We don't have a marketing department or someone to write fancy brochures. We just talk to people face to face. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for us. The sun can be pretty brutal in the middle of the day, so we usually take a break then and get back to it when it cools down a bit. We’ve survived plenty of seasons here, through the heavy rains and the dry spells. We just keep going, one brick at a time, making sure we have what people need for their building projects. It’s a simple life but a good one for us. We've been here long enough to see the town change.
