SHRINE NATURAL STONE LLP

Our workshop is located at 5/124 on Gandhi Colony Street in Pandhamangalam. It’s a part of Tindivanam that most people in Villupuram know fairly well. We deal with natural stones, which means every piece that comes through here looks a bit different from the last one. That’s the thing about nature, it doesn't give you anything uniform. We spend a lot of time sorting through piles to find what someone is looking for. The yard can get a bit messy, especially when it rains and the red soil turns into mud, but we keep working through it. We aren't a huge corporation with suits and ties; we’re just people in work boots and shirts trying to get the job done. The street outside can be a bit narrow for the big trucks, so there’s often a bit of shouting and gesturing to get them parked right. We have a small shed where we keep the more delicate pieces away from the weather. It’s noisy because of the saws and the forklifts, but you get used to it after a week or so. We mostly just talk about the stone and what needs to be delivered next. There isn't any big secret to what we do, just showing up and making sure the inventory is counted correctly. It’s a steady life here in Tamil Nadu and we’re happy to be part of the local trade.
